Young archaeologists in action at the Atsas Educational Centre
The Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia introduces children from the Solea region to the world of the ancient art of clay as manifested through distinct items of the Severis and Phylaktou Collections. The children will become acquainted with augmented reality technology and they will combine knowledge and imagination during the “Young archaeologists in action!” workshop.

A tale: narration, colour, creation
In collaboration with the Cyprus Research Centre.
The Chestnut-haired girl, a traditional Cypriot tale comes alive in the Leventis courtyard as young friends of the Museum are invited to illustrate the story whilst expressing their impressions and feelings.
Narrated by the actress Varsia Adamou. The workshop is led by the visual artist Eleni Pratsi.

The Last Queen of Cyprus is there somewhere! Who will look for her?
An interactive theatrical happening that engages children with the history of Cyprus and the exciting life of queen Caterina Cornaro. Part of the programme is a tour along the permanent collections and the “Secrets of a royal portrait” exhibition.
Theatrical adaptation by Evangelia Onouphriou and Nicholas Demetriou.

The Last Queen of Cyprus is there somewhere! Who will look for her?
We are looking for queen Caterina Cornaro! In this adventure hosted by the Leventis Museum, children will get to travel through time, and visit the “Secrets of a royal portrait” exhibition in order to retrace the life of the last queen of the island.
October – December 2017
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10:00
For children of grades 3-6 of Primary School
Duration: 1 hour 20 minutes
The Secrets of a Royal Portrait
On the occasion of the homonymous temporary exhibition hosted at the Leventis Museum, the students will be invited to trace glimpses of history and decrypt the hidden secrets of a work of art: the portrait of Caterina Cornaro, Last Queen of Cyprus.
The programme is aligned with Secondary Education Art and History courses.
