Tracing Paths / Psychoeducational programme

Tracing Paths / Psychoeducational programme

For Primary School special education students

With the approval of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth

The Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia invites you to its new psychoeducational programme entitled Tracing paths, specifically created

to offer multisensory stimuli to children of special educational needs.

Join us at the Museum to discover together ancient and treasured objects from the Birth of Nicosia – Ancient Times Gallery, as well as from
the Leto and Costakis Severis Collection. Inspired by these objects, we will create our own vessels and artworks with the use of clay, natural materials and moulds.

In the company of the artist Elpida Fragkeskidou and the art psychotherapist Eleni Petridou Bouriti, the children will become familiar with the Collections
of the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia and they will advance their emotional intelligence, empathy and awareness of social inclusion through art and history.

We are waiting for you for a sensory enjoyment of the objects of the Collections, aiming to encourage self-expression, the development of emotional intelligence and creative and critical thinking!

Creation and implementation:
Elpida Fragkeskidou, Founder of the Kuns Studio sculpture workshop (MA, Fine Arts & Arts Education)
Eleni Petridou Bouriti, Art psychotherapist (MSc, Art Psychotherapy | MA, Fine Arts & Arts Education) | Member of the Association of Art Therapists and Friends
