European Museum Academy Annual Conference ‘Museums. Challenge of Change’

In collaboration with the Anastasios G. Leventis Foundation and the A. G. Leventis Gallery, the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia is participating in the hosting
of the Annual Conference of the European Museum Academy and the 2024 Awards Ceremony for the best museums, a prestigious event that has been
promoting and supporting European museums since 2010.

The conference will feature distinguished speakers, who will present topics related to museology, art and culture, and will include educational workshops.

Additionally, all museums nominated for awards will have the opportunity to present their goals and work.

Each year, the European Museum Academy, whose Board of Directors is composed of esteemed figures from the fields of museums, education and culture,
awards new or recently renovated European museums that have excelled in the following categories:

∙ Best Museum with an Educational Orientation – DASA Award
∙ Best Museum with a Museological Approach – The Luigi Micheletti Award
∙ Best Art Museum – Art Museum Award
∙ Best Children’s Museum – Children in Museums Award

It is worth noting that Mrs Loukia Loizou Hadjigavriel, Director of the Anastasios G. Leventis Foundation, is a member of the Board of Directors
and that the award for the Best Art Museum has been proposed and is funded by the A. G. Leventis Foundation.
