Astronomical Night at the Museum

The Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia and the Deputy Mayor of Nicosia and astrophysicist Chrysanthos Fakas
have prepared an evening dedicated to the sky of Nicosia.

The programme includes:
19.00-19.45: Lecture by the Deputy Mayor of Nicosia, the astrophysicist Chrysanthos Fakas, on the topic ‘A journey through the universe from its birth until today and the climate crisis on Earth’. The lecture will be adapted for all ages.

19.45-20.30: Astronomical observation of the moon and other celestial bodies through a telescope

During the event, everyone’s favourite ice cream from another era will be offered.

The event will take place in the courtyard of the Museum… so don’t forget your jacket.
