Pots made of paper…inspired by the Museum’s Collections

10.11.24 (Part A) & 17.11.24 (Part B)

10.30-12.30

The Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia in collaboration with the artist Demetra Kokkinou and Green Dot Cyprus are realising the third consecutive programme in the framework of the ‘Learn something new… green actions’ educational activities.

The programme is intended for adults, who with the guidance of Demetra Kokkinou will create their own pot from recycled paper,
drawing inspiration from the Museum’s Collection of Medieval Ceramics.

An interesting workshop in which the participants will understand the importance of recycling and will also engage in our cultural heritage
in an interactive and experiential manner!

Demetra Kokkinou is a visual artist who specialises in paper, starting from its creation from recycled materials to using various techniques.
She has taken part in solo and group exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad.

The programme will be conducted on two consecutive Sundays (10 November and 17 November 2024), as the whole process
and especially the drying of the paper take time.
