Stories from clay: Creating with inspiration through the collections of the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia
08.05.2026
18.00-20.00
On the occasion of International Museum Day and in collaboration with the Culture Club at the Residence,* the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia is travelling
to the British capital. This is a special educational programme for adults, organised on the initiative of Mrs Vasiliki Kinani Kourou, spouse of the High Commissioner
of the Republic of Cyprus in London.
Participants will be introduced to the history of ceramic art through the Museum’s Collections and explore how these objects can serve as inspiration for contemporary creations. As part of the programme, a hands-on workshop will take place, during which participants will decorate a ceramic horse inspired by the Leto and Costakis Severis Collection, transforming history into a personal creation.
* The Culture Club at the Residence is a series of events organised with the aim of promoting the art and history of Cypriot culture to foreign residents in the
United Kingdom, as well as to the Cypriot diaspora, and is held under the auspices of the High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus.
