In the kingdom of ancient Ledra!

The Cultural Section of the High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus in the United Kingdom, in collaboration with the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia,
is organising an educational programme for children entitled ‘In the kingdom of ancient Ledra… just like back then!’

The Museum is travelling to London, specifically to St Cyprian’s Greek Orthodox Primary Academy, offering young participants the opportunity to explore ancient Nicosia through its Collections. On this creative journey through time, the children will transform into inhabitants of the ancient city and discover aspects of their daily life.

Through hands-on activities, they will revive the workshops of ancient Nicosia, creating textiles, ornaments and clay objects, just as they were made in the past.
Shapes, colours and textures bring history to life, transporting the children to a distant era, where the story of our city begins.

The programme is being implemented as part of the Cultural Programme of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026.
