From the coin… to your own imprint!

28.11.2026
10.30-12.00

What does a coin tell us through its images, symbols, inscriptions and embossed surface?

Starting from the new exhibition co-organised by Alpha Bank Cyprus and the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia, we will explore with visual artist and engraver Panayiotis Andreou the history and morphology of coins from Greece and Cyprus and discover their relationship with the art of engraving.

We will observe, draw, engrave and print! Each participant will create their own coin, transferring their design onto a wooden block and producing their own personal print on paper.

From the block to the imprint, history becomes creation!
