I engrave my own coin!

29.11.2026
10.30-12.00

The Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia and Alpha Bank Cyprus invite all their young friends on an adventure full of stories… where we will create our own coin through the art of engraving!

On the occasion of the temporary exhibition Messages on Metal. A Timeless Dialogue with Cyprus, we take a close look at coins from Alpha Bank’s internationally renowned Numismatic Collection, as well as coins from the Leventis Museum, and discover their secrets.

What stories can a coin hide? What are its symbols and images? And how can a design leave its imprint?

A workshop full of images, stories and creativity, guided by visual artist and engraver Panayiotis Andreou, where we will design our own coin, engrave it onto a wooden block and bring it to life by printing it on paper!
