The Association of the Friend of the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia and the A. G. Leventis Gallery and the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia invite you
on an educational field trip to the Atsas area, where we will visit the Atsas Organic Farm and the Atsas Training Center.

Join us on a journey into the world of olive oil and herbs of our region.

The programme includes:

09.00: Departure from Nicosia

10.00: Visit to the Atsas Organic Farm
Mrs Anastasia Panteli, Operation Manager and Agriculturist of the Atsas Organic Farm, will introduce us to the world of the production of the renowned
and award-winning ATSAS olive oil, as well as the history of olive-oil making in the area.
We will also have the opportunity to participate in an olive-oil tasting.

11.00: Arrival at the Atsas Training Center
Dr Phrosso Hadjilucas, Director of the Atsas Training Center, will welcome and introduce us to the role of this important Training Center in the area of Soleas,
while coffee and tea with organic herbs will be offered.

11.30: Guided tour of the Atsas Training Center botanical garden
The Atsas Training Center has one of the most complete botanical gardens, which includes many Cypriot and endemic plants and herbs.
A unique opportunity to enjoy and get to know the natural scenery of the area.

12.00: Presentation of beeswax ointment-making
The herbs of Cyprus offer us the opportunity for a beeswax ointment-making workshop.
Mrs Maria Economou will present the process of the making of such ointments, and each participant will receive their own jar.

12.30: Lunchtime – a light meal for each participant
