Kourabiedes with a twist: sweet traditions with icing sugar and love

The Friends of the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia and the A. G. Leventis Gallery invite you to a special Christmas culinary workshop for adults, filled with aromas, flavours and festive traditions.

Together with Marilena Joannides, a chef with deep knowledge of Cypriot gastronomy, we will prepare the traditional kourabiedes (almond shortbread cookies) from the village of Kambos, near Tsakistra, a mountainous region of Nicosia. This festive treat is a staple that should never be missing from the Christmas table!

The programme includes:
· Introduction to Chef Marilena Ioannidou
· Presentation on traditional Christmas delicacies
· Tasting of traditional kourabiedes and coffee
· Hands-on workshop: demonstration of the authentic recipe and preparation of kourabiedes from Kambos
